What changed for Verigan’s Fist?
Verigan’s Fist now has a Holy Forgefire effect in the Forever beta database. Wowhead’s 2 October report identifies the addition to the Alliance Paladin quest weapon. We checked the linked item and quest records on 3 October; this is beta information, not a promise about the launch version.
The current item record describes a chance-on-hit effect dealing 39–59 Holyfire damage, with triple damage against Fire Elementals and Earth Elementals. That multiplier belongs to the effect, not the weapon’s entire damage output.
What the tooltip does—and does not—tell you
A damage range is not a proc rate. The displayed item tooltip does not tell us how often Holy Forgefire activates, its average contribution over a fight, or how it scales. RaidMuster has not measured those behaviours in combat. Do not multiply every weapon swing by three when comparing upgrades.
For a useful test, record your character level, weapon, talents, target and client build. Separate ordinary weapon hits from the named effect in the combat log. Compare repeated fights with similar conditions; one spectacular activation against a favoured target cannot establish general damage performance.

Check The Test of Righteousness before organising help
The Forever record for The Test of Righteousness lists four collection objectives for Jordan Stilwell: Whitestone Oak Lumber, Jordan’s Refined Ore Shipment, Jordan’s Smithing Hammer and Purified Kor Gem. The following forging step rewards the mace.
Open your current quest log and Jordan’s Weapon Notes before arranging travel. Players saying they are ‘on the Paladin weapon quest’ may be at different steps. Compare the actual objective names and completed counts, then ask for help with the unfinished part. These database records establish the objectives; old comments beneath them are not proof of current beta routes or solo difficulty.
Make the guild run useful for everyone
Agree whether the session is a short quest assist or a full dungeon run before inviting helpers. State the meeting point, expected finish time and who still needs each objective. If several Paladins attend, check everyone’s progress before leaving an area; one player collecting an item is not your confirmation that the whole group is finished.
Use your guild roster plan to identify available characters, then keep the quest checklist in accompanying notes. Confirm tanking, healing and damage assignments for this outing instead of inferring them from the weapon someone wants. A specific request with a clear stopping point is easier for guildmates to fit around their own plans.
Is this the same effect as Wolfsbane?
No. Wolfsbane’s Forever record lists Holystorm damage and its creature bonus applies to Wolves and Worgen. Old Fire-Eye is the quest record awarding that weapon. Keep the two rewards and their target conditions separate; the new Verigan’s effect alone does not settle a faction-wide damage ranking.
