Where are the new dungeons?
Community location notes below come from nokiashorty’s BlizzCon summary. They describe broad settings, not tested entrance directions. The post uses earlier names for some locations; use Blizzard’s names in the level table when organising a run.
| Dungeon | Reported setting |
|---|---|
| Hall of Thanes | Beneath Ironforge |
| Ruins of Lordaeron | The ruined capital |
| Excavation Site | Wetlands, above Whelgar’s Excavation |
| City of Dalaran | Alterac Mountains |
| The Drowned City | Off Stranglethorn Vale |
| Krol’dok Stronghold | Riverglades |
| Alcaz Prison | Prison setting; entrance route unverified here |
| Blackmaw Hold | Azshara |
| Shaper’s Terrace | Un’Goro hills |
Turn the list into group checkpoints
Use the ranges to arrange a check-in rather than promise a rigid levelling itinerary. For a group interested in Dalaran, ask everyone to report their level and availability before fixing the session. Leave time to find the entrance and gather any relevant quests.
Example: four friends reach their target bracket on Friday, while the fifth can only play Sunday. Ask whether they want a Sunday group session or separate runs. Record that decision before the faster players plan their next sessions.
Before you advertise a run
A useful invitation includes the dungeon, intended session length, time zone, available roles and whether this is a first exploration. Ask the group to confirm those details. Treat entrance requirements, travel routes and completion time as questions until checked in the client.
- Confirm a tank and healer rather than infer roles from class names.
- Agree whether to explore side areas or aim for a shorter run.
- Keep a fallback activity if someone cannot reach the group.
- After the run, record actual travel time and obstacles for the next organiser.
